“Time in nature is not leisure time; it’s an essential investment in our children’s health (and also, by the way, in our own).” ― Richard Louv, Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder
Come play with your child in local wilderness spots, learning about how to bring your child into nature with safety and also with a child’s sense of adventure and awareness. Enjoy discovering the little things that are amazing to children and all the learning that happens along the way – for everyone! Developmentally appropriate crafts and skills help develop balance, communication and social skills, motor skills and ignite our natural curiosity and joy of discovery. Time in nature is a gift for your children and yourself!
Unplug and detach for a few hours of nature therapy! A chance
to reflect, connect and soak up some peace and relaxation.
Children growing into some independence will enjoy this opportunity to join our small 4:1 ratio child to adult groups to explore, play and connect in natural settings. There are so many opportunities for natural learning activities from watching bugs to climbing on logs, walking on rocks to finding walnuts and acorns. We wander into nature discovering all the diversity of experience and then settle into a lovely sense of belonging and joy. Through games, stories, songs and the magical teaching moments presented by nature, your children gain awareness, knowledge and skills that last a lifetime.
