Kids with some wilderness experience might choose to participate in this class that builds on their skills and nature connection. They should have done at least one other Ventura Wild program before, so they are ready to jump into more advanced whittling and building projects, more independent options and more fun! We may go farther and we definitely go deeper into play, discovery and connection. Leadership skills are emphasized and can lead to a youth internship with our younger kid programs and even employment!

Nature time is an essential balance to school and tech time, shaping happy healthy intelligent humans. From the wetlands, to the eucalyptus groves, and oak-studded hillsides, young explorers will have the opportunity to connect with a diverse ecosystem and enjoy nature’s playground! Our staff are trained professional outdoor educators with years of experience bringing children and nature together through shared games, stories, sensory awareness and exploration activities. (MOES students need to enroll in TK/Kindergarten Cub Club to participate)
