How to Register (Winter Session):

Registration OPENS Thursday, November 30th @ 9:00 AM. Registration CLOSES Sunday, December 3rd @ 9:00 PM

When registration opens, you will register on our Sign-Up Form where you will indicate your first, second, and third choices.

After registration closes, we will place participants and send an email to complete your registration on Monday, December 4th by 5PM. Note: Often, participants get into their first or second choice, but there is no guarantee, and you might be placed onto a waitlist.
Why do we conduct our registration this way?
In the past, we have offered registration at a certain time which resulted in a competitive race with our programs selling out in a matter of minutes. This felt inequitable for working families, those registering for the first time and other reasons. We have since transitioned to a waitlist, giving families the opportunity to sign up over a number of days before it closes. Participants are then placed into programs with consideration for prior participation, scholarships, age, and gender.
Winter Session Pricing
Winter Session (10 weeks) is our most extensive learning opportunity. With the holidays approaching, we recognize that the value of the winter session may pose a challenge to pay in one lump sum. Therefore registration for any of our Winter Programs will include an option to pay a deposit only. The remaining balance will be due by January 19th, 2024.
Ventura Wild
Ventura Wild rekindles a deep sense of belonging and connection to wild places by nurturing awareness, knowledge, skills and stewardship in the natural world. We are an education program of Ventura Land Trust, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our registration fees cover the cost of running the program and that’s it. Our team of highly experienced and skilled outdoor educators are simply here to share the joy and love of nature while tending and protecting our environment.
