Program Details

(Adult can drop-off or stay!)  Our forest program is child-centered, interest-led, and place-based.  With a 3:1 ratio child to staff, children explore local ecosystems, through play and direct, hands-on experiences.   Using inquiry-based teaching styles, we prompt children to ask “why” and foster the development of the child’s own critical thinking skills.  Children spend a large portion of class time engaged in valuable unstructured play. Natural environments inspire more creative play, improve concentration, develop problem solving skills, invite teamwork and cooperation, and improve gross and fine motor skills.
