Program Details

  • Dates: April 17 – June 9
  • Ages 24 – 36 months (with up to 5 year old siblings)

  • Fridays 9:15am to 11:15am
  • Location: Foster Park Ventura and various wilderness sites around Ojai and Ventura
  • Lead Instructor: Heather King, Terra Lepine, Carol Castanon

  • Fee: $300 for toddlers. $150 for each sibling. Babies 6 months and under are free.
    Scholarships/Sliding Scale available.

This is a child centered nature exploration and play group for tots with and without siblings.  This group is multi-aged and geared for those families with more than one child, or families who wish to experience a diverse group of very young children.   This class is a precious experience to share with your children, from building a story nest, floating boats down the creek, scavenger hunts and playing hide and seek.  Children and adults will be introduced to our local wilderness through exploration, guided activities and stories.  Developmentally appropriate skills are all integrated into natural learning experiences based on nature discoveries and the children’s interests.   Come have fun with us in nature!

  • Location: Local wild places around Ojai and Ventura – we will be heading into the mountains above Ojai and down to Ventura and Carpinteria.
CHILD WITH ADULT will be introduced to our local wilderness through exploration, guided activities and stories.  Developmentally appropriate skills are all integrated into natural learning experiences based on nature discoveries and the children’s interests.   Adults participate, observe, and connect while children play.  This class is a precious experience to share with your children, from building a story nest, floating boats down the creek, scavenger hunts and exploring each sense.
